A unique and desirable Method

Our concentrated Total Bodywash provides a clean of the highest quality with minimum fuss and effort. Once conveniently applied, the dirt will loosen and lift to the surface in minutes. This can then be rinsed away without the need to scrub!

Here’s the three simple steps:

Step 1
Thoroughly wet your entire horse.

Step 2
Spray a light mist of Total Bodywash over your horses coat.

Step 3
Have a cup of tea, come back and rinse with plenty of water.

Its really as simple as that.

It is also good to know that Chestfields Total Bodywash contains no petroleum, fragrances and nothing that will hurt or damage your horse. So you have peace of mind that daily washes will not irritate or dry out  your horses coat. Remember to not leave your horse wet for too long during the coming winter months, as they could catch a chill!

If you want to find out more about the methods we use or the ingredients our products contain check out our Science page for more information.

I just wanted to let you know how impressed I am with your products.

The Total Body Wash is amazing! I use it regularly after I have ridden and it only takes a few minutes, simply spraying on and rinsing off – so easy to use and really effective too! My horse’s coat is shiny and super clean; I’m never going back to regular shampoo! Read more…

I started riding at the age of thirteen but only started riding competitively four years ago when we moved to Cobham Manor Equestrian Centre. I have owned numerous horses but to enable me to fund my competing and training have brought and sold on numerous horses so I can buy talented youngsters, some I will keep others I will sell to fund and further my career.

I have trained in Holland with Peiter Verbarkel for two months were I learnt a lot, developing a good seat through staying on the youngsters and on how to progress young horses. I have also spent invaluable time with Michel and Mette Assouline.

On returning from Holland I purchased Cobhams Zimba as an unbroken 3 year old. This striking grey stallion by Biotop x Democrat is now 6 but things haven’t always gone to plan. As a 4 year old he had an accident which resulted in a puncture wound to his face and was off for 6 months while it healed. Read more…

I started riding at the age of three when my unhorsey parents thought I might like a riding lesson – I was hooked straight away and went every week come rain or shine!

My first pony, Pepsi, was bought when I was 10. He kept escaping from his field and generally caused chaos around the village. My second pony was Crispin. I wanted him to be a good jumper but he had other ideas! However, we were quite good at gymkhana games and Pony Club activities. I was a member of Quorn Pony Club and as I got older I rode on their eventing team and other riding club teams on a succession of ponies. We weren’t very successful but I remember having fun and learning lots. Throughout these early years my idols were Ginny Leng and Ian Stark and I so wanted to ride and be successful like them.

I started affiliated eventing at the age of 16 and was in the fortunate position where my parents owned some land and had built up a livery business to help pay for my hobby.

My first horse, Tom, a very laid back character, gave me a taste for the bigger and better competitions. He was replaced by Barbarian King (Harry) and I progressed to my first two day novice event. I wasn’t placed by loved every minute of it, even though my dressage was awful!

I went to Glanusk Horse Trials and was given samples of Chestfields Cut & Graze, Mane & Tail and Total Bodywash to try. I had never heard of the company before and was sceptical about the products, but after using them I have to admit I was wrong and they are brilliant!

I can’t fault anything that I was given I have recommended these products to many people.

Chestfields Multi Purpose

Chestfields offer a clear Choice for the Equestrian Consumer

Now more than ever, consumers’ within the UK have environmental concerns and are seeking brands who can offer a product that meets their moral and ethical standards; with no compromise in quality. When it comes to equine grooming, it can be difficult to source this when there is a wealth of products to choose from. Some offer unquestionable results and are of the highest quality; while others suit a lower
budget, with a less desirable outcome.

One thing that is true of almost all of these products is the use of chemicals that can be harmful, disregarding the importance of caring for the environment. Many products may contain Sodium Laureth, Tripolyphosphates, Borates, Ammonia and Aldehydes. All of which are chemicals that can be irritant to the skin, and potentially harmful to the coat of a horse. Read more…

I found that the Total Bodywash saves time, is easy to use and is very effective. After rinsing off the product I was left with a clean grey horse with a very soft coat! It’s also 100% natural, so good for my horse and the envrionment!

I also used the Show & Shine spray and loved it! It’s easy to use and you don’t need much. Also, as it doesn’t leave any residue it wasn’t slippery which is great!

I love that there’s less chance of an allergic reaction because the product is natural, and am pleased that I’ve found a shine spray that I will enjoy using.

Thank you Chestfields!
